CLAT 2017 Registration/Application Form
- CLAT 2017 registration are available via online process only.
- The CLAT 2017 Application Form is available from the 1st January 2017.
- Before filling the application form, candidates should be ready with the scanned documents of photograph, signature, SC/ST/SAP certificate (if applicable) and domicile certificate (if applicable).
- The last date for submission of the filled application form is 31st March 2017.
- There is no need to send the application form through offline process.
Application Fee:
Candidates those belong to the UR/OBC/SAP (Specially Abled Persons) category, have to submit Rs. 4,000/- as an application fee. SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs. 3,500/- only. The application fee can be deposited either through Online or e-Challan. Additional bank charges may apply for the above transactions. The application fee is non-refundable in any circumstances.Eligibility Criteria
To appear in CLAT 2017, candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses are different as given below:For UG Programmes:
- Candidate has to qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination with the minimum 45% marks (in case of Unreserved/OBC/SAP categories) and 40% marks (in case of SC/ST category).
- Appearing candidates of Class 10+2 or equivalent examination in March/April 2017 are also eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
- At the time of admission, the candidates would have to produce an evidence of their passing qualifying examination.
- The upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2017 has been removed.
- Candidates must be passed the LL.B or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (Unreserved/OBC/SAP categories) and 50% marks (SC/ST category).
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear CLAT.
- Candidates would have to produce the evidence of their qualifying examination at the time of admission.
- There is no upper age limit for PG courses.
Exam Pattern
The CLAT 2017 Exam Pattern is different for UG and PG programmes.UG Programmes:
- Mode of Exam: The entrance exam is being held through online process.
- It will be a computer based test (CBT).
- Medium: The medium of examination will be of English language.
- Marks: The question paper will be of 200 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct response, 1 mark will be given to the candidate.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Duration: The time duration of this entrance exam will be two hours.
- Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be held through online process.
- It will be a computer based test (CBT).
- Medium: The medium of examination will be of English language.
- Duration: The paper will be of 2 Hours duration.
- Marks: The paper will comprise of 150 MCQs.
- Marking Scheme: The candidate will be awarded for 1 mark for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There will be a provision for 0.25 negative marking for every incorrect response.
