The notification for Swami Rama Himalayan University Pre Medical Entrance Exam PMEE 2016 has been announced. Swami Rama Himalayan University invites application from eligible candidates for admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program offered by its Medical College (Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences) for the Academic year 2016-17 through Pre-Medical Entrance Exam (PMEE) 2016.
The Medical Council of India (MCI) recognizes the MBBS course.
Seats Available
The total number of seats available for MBBS program is 150 (One Hundred fifty) for the academic session 2016-17
Permanent Residents of the State of Uttarakhand (40% Seats): a) Through PMEE - 2016 conducted by SRHU (35 Seats); b) Through UPMT - 2016 conducted by Uttarakhand Govt. (25 seats)
All India Categories (60% Seats): a) Through PGMEE - 2016 conducted by SRHU (90 seats)
(i) 40% seats are reserved for candidates, who are permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand
(ii) 26% rebate in the tuition fees only shall be given to the candidates, who are admitted under Permanent Resident category
(iii) Under the PH, only the candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs (as per MCI regulations) shall be considered
Eligibility:
SRHU PMEE 2016 Eligibility Requirements
Age: Only
those candidates, who have completed age of 17 years at the time of
admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the
year of their admission to the first year of MBBS course are eligible to
apply
The upper age limit shall be 25 yrs as on 31st December of the year of entrance exam
Minimum Qualification
For Passed Candidates: The
candidates must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ISC, Intermediate
Examination, or its equivalent, after a period of 12-years of study in
first attempt from a recognized board (CBSE, ISC, State Board etc), the
last two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects)
and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the
core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of
Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3
educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on
Education
The
candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, Biotechnology and any other elective subject with English
individually and must have obtained:
a)
A minimum of exact 60% (for SC,ST,OBC candidates a minimum of exact
50%) marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology,
Biotechnology, taken together
b) A minimum of exact 50% (for SC,ST,OBC candidates a minimum of exact 40%) marks separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology in the qualifying exam
b) A minimum of exact 50% (for SC,ST,OBC candidates a minimum of exact 40%) marks separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology in the qualifying exam
For Appearing Candidates: A
candidate, who is appearing for first time in the qualifying
examination, i.e. 12th standard in 2016, whose result is awaited is also
eligible to appear in the PMEE-2016, but he, she shall not be eligible
for admission to the MBBS course, if he, she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks
Exam Pattern of SRHU PMEE 2016
The
Entrance Examination (PMEE-2016) will comprise of an objective type
test of 200 Questions (four options with single correct answer) from
Physics - 40 questions, Chemistry - 60 questions and Biology (Botany
& Zoology) - 100 questions, to be answered on the specially designed
Computerized (OMR) answer sheet using Black Ball Point Pen only
The duration of the exam would be 150 minutes (2 hours & 30 minutes)
The Question paper will be in English only
The Pre-Medical Entrance Exam 2016 will be held on 22nd May 2016 (Sunday, 10.00 am to 12.30 pm)

The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10+2 examination (CBSE, ISC, Uttarakhand Board or their equivalent)

of cities where Pre-Medical Entrance Exam will be conducted is
Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Haldwani, Lucknow (University reserves the
right to change any center under extra ordinary circumstances)
Admit Card
The
University will provide the facility of downloading the Admit Cards of
PMEE-2016; candidates are required to download the admit cards from the
University website and follow the instructions given therein; candidate
may please note that admit the post will not send cards by 12th May 2016

A candidate can apply for the Pre-Medical Entrance Exam (PMEE-2016) online
by logging onto website Candidate must download the Information
Brochure and read it carefully to understand eligibility criteria and
other requirements for submission of application form; after submitting
the Online Application form applicant will be redirected to SBI Collect

Candidate
can obtain Information Brochure and Application Form Offline by
depositing a Demand Draft or in cash a sum of Rs.2000,- + Transaction
Charges as applicable OR in case of NRI,PIO Candidates US$ 75 +
Transaction Charges as applicable
