Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad invites applications for admission in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) two-year full time programmes for the academic year 2016-18. The notification for Indian School of Mines(ISM) Dhanbad MBA Admission 2016 through CAT has been announced.
The MBA Program of ISM was launched in 1997 and the erstwhile Dept. of Industrial Engg and Management (IEM) offering M.Tech since 1977 was rechristened as Dept. of Mgt. Studies
ISM admits the aspirants with CAT 2015 score. We also admit Foreign Nationals/Non-Resident Indians (NRI) as per the details
MBA Program follows semester based system for evaluation of students’ performance and is of four semester duration

Important Dates

Application Form & Information Brochure will be available at ISM, Dhanbad’s Wbsite: 15th December 2015
Last Date for Submission of filled-in Application Form along with requisite fee & other relevant documents: 29th February 2016 (05.00 pm)
Date of GD & PI: 15th & 16th April 2016
Declaration of Results on Website by 27th April 2016
Date of Admission for Merit List Candidates & for Wait List Candidates is on 30th May 2016

Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to MBA Program of the Institute should have minimum 50% in aggregate or equivalent CGPA or CGPA/CPI of 5.0 in 10-point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for GN/OBC candidates minimum 45% or CGPA/CPI of 4.5 in 10-point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for SC/ST candidates
For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers
Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification exam can also apply
Selection of applicants whose results in the qualifying degree exam are not declared will be provisional, subjected to condition that all parts of the exam must be completed in all respects before the date of joining the Institute and the marks sheet/certificate as evidence of passing the qualifying exam to be submitted latest by 19th Jul 2016
Eligibility for Sponsored Candidates: In addition to the above requirements, the sponsored candidates have at least one-year full time work experience, at the time of application, in a govt. organization or companies of repute in the relevant field or in a recognized Academic Institutions
The present employer must endorse application form of the sponsored candidates

Selection Procedure

The medium of examination is English
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the attending the process of Admission, which consists of Group Discussion and Inteview; candidates will be offered admission based on their ranking, their ranking in the selection process
Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT-2015 scores will be called for GD & PI for final selection

Reservation

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates will be as per Government of India directive/guidelines circulated from time to time

Application Form for MBA will be available on the ISM website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in from 15th December 2015
The application fee for MBA Program is Rs.2000/- for GN/OBC candidates and Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates and application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances
The filled-in application form along with requisite fee through Demand Draft and other relevant documents has to be submitted to the Deputy Registrar (Exam & Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004 (Jharkhand)
Candidates are instructed to visit ISM Website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in/admissions regularly for important announcements/results
